Nov 20223 – After a premiere in Germany this summer, Stéphane Scharlé presented his ciné-concert for augmented drums to an audience in Bourg Saint Maurice. A futuristic electro-soundtrack for René Clair’s science fiction masterpiece “Paris qui Dort”.

Oct 2023 – The OZMA quintet has just returned from a three-concert tour of Egypt, presenting its music for the first time in the land of the pyramids.

Stéphane Scharlé is Instructor at the Jazz9Tus Summer Jazz Camp which takes place in Aalborg at the beginning of August 2023. He’ll present a shared concert with the Lithuanian singer Viktorija Pilatovic

Comprising Spanish keyboardist and singer Meritxell Neddermann and Stéphane Scharlé, leader of the French quintet OZMA on augmented drums, the Neddermann-Scharlé duo develop a collaborative musical universe nourished by electronic soundscapes, a large dose of improvisation and playfulness.

To celebrate 20 years of existence in style, and to celebrate the reconstitution of its original nucleus with the return of guitarist Adrien Dennefeld alongside Stéphane Scharlé and Édouard Séro-Guillaume, OZMA invites us to an evening of retrospection through its abundant repertoire, The quintet takes center stage, reactivating OZMA Orkestrâ, its XX(L) version, essentially based on groove and the expressive intensity of improvisations dressed up in kaleidoscopic arrangements, the ideal vehicle for its incredible energy.

Festival Jazz sous les Pommiers 40th anniversary
