For the past three years, the Compagnie Tangram organises professional meetings in partnership with Neimënster abbey. This is the occasion to take stock on the current Propulsion edition and to discuss future cross-border collaborations. With the support of the Région Grand Est.
This year, four of our laureates have performed on the saturday night at the Gudde Wellen in a club format and on the sunday morning in the Robert Krieps hall at Neimënster.

In May, Stéphane Scharlé toured in Southern Africa – Lesotho, Namibia, Zambia, South Africa –with his drum solo cine-concert, based on René Clair’s film Paris qui dort.
This fantastic tour was made possible thanks to the commitment of the local teams at the Alliances Françaises, as well as the joint work of the Pathé Foundation and the Institut Français, who facilitated the distribution of the film Paris qui dort via the IFcinéma platform.

Released on 4 April on the German label Berthold Records, OZMA’s new album was enthusiastically received at two memorable release parties: first in Germany, during Berthold Records Club Night at Jazzahead! and then in Paris, at Le Petit Bain, surrounded by the album’s fabulous guests. Two exceptional evenings which, in the words of Citizen Jazz, literally ‘shook every atom in the room’.

On 28 and 29 November 2023, the winners of Propulsion # 2 were welcomed by the Compagnie Tangram team in Strasbourg.
After a presentation of the support programme, the winners met their mentors.
The first training sessions on the theme of distribution, coordinated by Julie Cottier, began with Kostia Pace, director and programmer of the Jazz Station in Brussels, sharing his experience, followed by a workshop on ‘pitching your project’ with Christiane Louis from Philharmonie de Paris.
Estelle Coupey from Compagnie Tangram raised awareness of societal issues as they apply to the music sector: ecological issues in live performance, sexist and sexual violence, gender inequality in music and jazz.
